Strategic Plan
Executive Summary:
July 1, 2018 was the halfway point for the Fairbanks Housing & Homeless Coalition (FHHC) Ten Year Plan (TYP). The FHHC Strategic Planning Committee with over site from FHHC Board members reviewed the TYP in May 2018. The group found eight objectives that had been completed, were no longer relevant, or were duplicated elsewhere in the TYP. The committee combined five objectives with other objectives to be more relevant to current situations. The committee left 13 objectives with little or no changes. The committee added two objectives for a total of 15 current TYP objectives.
Every March through June the FHHC holds strategic planning meetings that encourage public participation in identifying and selecting the FHHC projects for the next year. This has resulted in the establishment of the Coordinated Entry System, My Place Rapid Re-Housing program, the Encampment Outreach Team, and expanded Prevention and Diversion network.
Planning in 2020 for 2021 was disrupted by the outbreak of COVID-19 and three months of planning sessions were condensed to just one planning session. During that meeting we decided to maintain existing projects and work on other projects as the pandemic calmed or as opportunity presented.
